Shahzad Traders is the wholesale arm of Shahzad Halal Butchers — a family business built at 593F Atlas Road, Wembley.
We started as butchers, and that still shapes everything we do. Meat is not a line on our price list — it's our trade. Every carcass that comes through our doors is cut, minced, packed and cold-stored at our own establishment in Wembley, under our own FSA approval, by people whose name is over the door.
Shahzad Traders grew out of a simple observation: the kitchens buying our meat were juggling separate suppliers for vegetables, oil and staples — different vans, different invoices, different problems. So we put the heavy half of their weekly order onto one van: halal meat from our plant, fruit and vegetables we pick from the London wholesale markets each morning, cooking oils and dry staples bought at trade volume.
We deliver across London — Wembley, Harrow and Edgware, North London, East London, Southall, Hounslow and Heathrow, Slough, Croydon and beyond. One supplier, one clean invoice per delivery, and a direct line to the owner when you need something fixed.
Shahzad Halal Butchers holds Full Approval from the Food Standards Agency under Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 (Approval No. 2571) as a cutting plant, minced meat establishment and cold store. This is a veterinary-supervised approval that very few independent butchers hold — and it means full traceability documentation on every order we deliver.
Our production is independently audited and certified by Halal Food Safety UK (HFS). All bovine, ovine and poultry products are sourced from halal-approved suppliers, and our cutting and cleaning processes are audited to HFS halal standards. Certification is renewed annually; documentation is available to customers on request.
Do fewer things, properly. We supply four lines — meat, produce, oils and staples — because those are the lines we can stand behind. If you need something beyond them, we'll tell you straight whether we can source it well.
